FINGERBOARD TRICKS

BASIC TRICKS

THE NORMAL POSITION: The normal positon is the basic position for all. To do this, position your index finger between the tech deck logo and the front screws or just about covering two of the front screws. Your middle finger is positioned at the tip of the tail. Both fingers must be dead flat on the board, like putting your fingerprint on the grip. This position allows you to ride to any direction.

THE NORMAL DIRECTION: The normal direction is when you are right handed, you ride to the left or towards your left hand. When you are left handed you ride towards your right or towards your right hand.

OLLIE: This is the most basic of all the tricks. To do an ollie, you must do the normal position (see above). Try rolling on this position towards the normal direction first (see above). When you get this position, you can now pop the tail. To do this, push down on the tail with your middle finger and release this pressure almost simultaneously. This should cause the board to pop up. When you can already pop up, use your index finger to flatten the board when it reaches its peak. It is importannt that the board must not exceed the 90 degree angle with respect to the ground. Land this smoothly by puttinng pressure on the board as it goes down. Ride away.

NOLLIE: This is a lot harder than you think. Your index finger must be on the tip of the nose, and the middle finger is flat between the logo and the back screws. This is the nollie position. Again, try rolling on this position first towards the normal direction. When you get this, you can now do a nollie by popping the nose. Pop the nose in the normal direction. Then flatten out the board as it reaches its peak using the middle finger this time. Land it smoothly and ride away.

FAKIE POP: To do a fakie pop you must position your fingers in the normal position but this time riding in the opposite direction. For right handed, ride towards your right. For left handed, ride towards your left. Try riding on this position first. Do an ollie but this time its on the opposite direction. Pop the board using the middle finger and flatten it out using the index finger. Land and ride away.

FAKIE OLLIE: Get to the nollie position but this time riding towards the opposite direction. Pop the board using the index finger and flatten it out using the middle finger. Land and ride away.

OLLIE NORTH: This is an ollie. Same position, same direction. But the angle the board makes with the ground is just almost 90 degrees whe you pop it up.

MANUAL: You ride with only the two back wheels touching the ground.

NOSE MANUAL: You ride with only the two front wheels touching the ground.

ONE WHEELER: You ride with any one wheel only touching the ground.

CASPER: While riding or stationary, tip the side of the board with your index finger if you are riding in the normal direction and in the normal position. This should cause the board to turn upsidedown (graphics o top instead of grip). While doing this, position your middle finger on the graphics side tail (below the back truck which is now facing you). Your index finger should now be on the grip tape side. This time your index fingernail, instead of your fingerprint, is touching the the grip which is on the underside. Only the tip of the tail should be touching the ground.

ANTI-CASPER: This is the opposite of the casper. Only the tip of the nose should be touching the ground. Your middle finger nail touching the grip which is on the under side. Your index finger is on the front truck.

TRUCKSTAND: This is the same as the casper but this time the middle finger is on the back truck instead.
